Why Society 5.0 | Yuko Harayama | TEDxRoma

What does, on a human and technological level, joining the 5.0 Society mean? Understanding how machines and human beings can coexist is fundamental in order for us to get ready for this new global phase, especially if we want machines and AI to support the human kind and not the human kind to run after machines. Yuko Harayama was an executive member of the Council for scientific politics and technology, Council of Ministers of Japan, vice director of science, technology and innovation management for OECD. She was honored with the French Legion of Honor. She focused her studies on technological evolution and AI and reckons digital transformation to be the key value of Society 5.0. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
